How to Volunteer
Throughout the Davenport Community Schools,
volunteers are supporting our libraries, offices,
classrooms, and special events in various
capacities. Many volunteers are tutors,
volunteering during the normal school day, aiding
those children who need a little extra.
There are a few basic ways for you to get more
involved in the Davenport Schools through
volunteerism. (1)
Contact the school at which you wish to
volunteer directly, or (2) contact our Volunteer
Office at (563) 336-5028 to discuss volunteer
opportunities and school sites, or (3) working
directly through existing the PTA, PTO or other
parent organization at your school.
The Volunteer Office assists with volunteer
efforts throughout the district, working with many
community agencies in Davenport and Scott County to
recruit, train and celebrate the many volunteers
that contribute to the enrichment of our children.
Volunteers interested in joining a Parent Teacher
Association/Organization should contact their school
to determine whether the school has a chapter.
Volunteers interested in joining their school’s PTA
can contact any of the officers in the Davenport
School’s
PTA Council.
